A Governors State University capstone project is a sustained work that intellectually supports the degree program but which may not be, in its entirety, a written document or an internship (for example, creative project in the fine arts). It provides evidence of the ability and effort to address a real-life issue based off of evidence-based conceptual or theoretical frameworks through the use of quantitative, qualitative, mixed-method, action research, program evaluation/assessment, survey-data/secondary data relative to the graduate's level work in the profession or discipline. Alumni who have authored graduate capstone reports that are currently posted in OPUS can register to receive download usage reports and other information. Please contact us with your name, capstone project name, and current email address and we will add you.

Alumni who have authored graduate capstone reports that are not currently posted in OPUS may request the posting of their work in OPUS. If the University Library holds a print copy, OPUS staff will digitize your capstone report, if needed, and post upon approval of your College and completion of an authorization form.
