A Governors State University master’s thesis presents evidence of a thorough review and understanding of the literature germane to the subject; the ability to do independent research; and the preparation of a manuscript which conforms to generally recognized standards of scientific and scholarly writing in the discipline.
A Doctoral Dissertation is a more extensive exploration of a specialized subject which usually results in generalizable new knowledge through rigorous research and statistical methodologies.
